"a momentary moue of distaste"

That phrase just popped up in my head for some reason. It's from Stephen King's short story, "The Road Virus Heads North".

Why is Friendster sorta kinda screwing up? And just when I found Toti Almeda. (And Josant Cervantes. And Jino Ferrer. But I digress.) I'm generally not into basketball, and especially not college-level playing. For one, I don't really get the game. I know the basic premise and some violations, but other than that, it's a convoluted jumble of rules and complexities. Whenever I tune in on a game on TV to try to watch, I end up switching the channel because I get impatient and annoyed that someone gets a foul, the ball has to be taken outside, etc. It's a game full of interruptions, and it's to the Philippines what baseball is to Japan.

But we were required to watch the opening of the 67th UAAP Season, hosted by De La Salle University. So, even though I have no great love for the game, I came. And I was overwhelmed by school spirit. The Maroons aren't the greatest basketball team ever (*coughunderstatementcough*), but the UP crowd more than made up for that. Especially the UP Pep Squad! They made the Adamson Pep Squad look like rank amateurs. Hah. Plus points for the skimpy costumes for the dudes. They truly dare to be different.:D

Anyway, Captain Ninja rocks. Ahehe. Go UP! Yay for school spirit.

Surely is not healthful and productive to spend the day wishing for a certain person to text me when I should be researching the moisture content of fertilizer.

helle-eer.

Once again I blog instead of doing stuff for school.:P

It's a very lucky thing that I woke up when I did today, due to non-existence of a certain report due tomorrow. S'ok though. This time of day suits me (which shows how screwed up my biological clock is >_<). Anyway, yesterday was a pretty decent day. For one, we finished that stinking (as in ammonia-stink) experiment for Chem lab. Yay for me and my partner.:D And although I screwed up a quiz, it didn't go too badly. Plus I got to spend time with someone I want to get to know better.

Oh, and I finished After Eden by Arnold Arre. It's mushy. Predictable. And I like it. Damn the hopeless romantic in me.

And I realized: People in relationships play so many games with each other. This isn't just for romantic attachments, but also with friendships, and even with family ties. Because, in many instances, honesty isn't the best policy.

stress.

Where, oh where did all my free time go?

Been really busy lately. Mostly with org stuff. I can't believe I'm saying this, but every day I actually look forward to the time when I get to study.>_>;; Today was the apps' orientation, so I had to wait until around 5 pm, even though I could go home at 12.30 pm (I cut my 2.30 - 4 class). Well, what can I say? There were a LOT of them. More than the number of renewed members this semester. I'm sure they'll start dropping off one by one, like flies.

Still nothing on the luurve front, although I've developed a silly little crush on one of the Japanese exchange students. I find him funny, and kind of cute. Heh. Not that I have a chance or anything. Suki dakara. He's also my roommate's classmate in her streetdance class, and she says he isn't a bad dancer.^_^
