nuninuninu

Grabe. Got home last Friday from a 'relaxing' session at F. Hmmph. Was so not converted into the joys of pampering oneself. Antagal ko ba naman kasi naghintay. Tapos may pa-promo promo price pa silang nalalaman sa flyer, hindi na pala valid. Plus it's not the greatest, most soothing thing in the world to have a stranger poking and pricking your face in front of your friends (who all find this v. amusing and fascinating, and proceed to laugh at you) and an acquaintance you'd rather avoid.:L Basta na-badtrip talaga ako sa buong linggong ito (see Jerome's blog for the further gory details of this week). Even ES 26, now my favorite subject (perhaps only fleetingly), wasn't stellar because my prof scolded me for not following instructions.

Then, as if I couldn't gripe enough about the miserable happenings of the past few days, pag-uwi ko sa bahay, Hercule (our PC) would not connect to the Internet. I dunno what the prob was, hindi naman ung browser (Firefox) or the ISP. So I had to use the system recovery CD for the nth time. And there was no food for dinner (my fault because I did say I wouldn't be going home that night). At least nag-BK kami, out of sheer hunger, and I got a sports bottle (consuelo de bobo). And I found out that Earthsea will be airing on Hallmark (kahet panget raw).

I foresee a lot more pain/eyebags/zits in this coming week (and until August 26, pag nag-Catharsis na).>_> Yep, I just HAD to whine.

Wahaha. Gusto ko ng gradpic ni (sino pa nga ba?) nUniNunInu. Hihingi ba ko? Hmm. Ang tangkad nyang tingnan dun a.O_o Yes, I said sobrang detox/acad mode etc. na this sem, but he will be leaving anyway. Might as well make the most out of it...

a snot-filled weekend

Met up with Ceres, !Steph! and her sister last Saturday in SM North. Went with the intention of first catching up with !Steph!, then help her and Nikki (her sister) pick out running shoes, and ended up with a pair of cute floral summer-y sandals (even though summer is like, over). Again, attack of the impulse buy.

Spent the whole time sneezing and trying to dispose of crumpled balls of used tissue. Vowed to be productive the next day (Depsem! Logscript article! Catharsis! Chem 153 readings!) but woke up with a slight fever.

So, I just spent today in bed, drinking medicine, releasing more snot, eating tasteless food, trying to un-clog my nose.

Am in a bit of a panic over this semester. I seem to have OK profs but it's the subjects that I dread. Both ES's, for instance, are not my best points, based on what I remember from high school.

The thing is, I HAVE to get high enough grades to be exempted from taking the final exam in all subjects possible. This is to make my cutting the sem short to leave for !Japan! easier and less laced with paperwork and bureaucratic red tape.

Gaaah. Off to get more tissue.

OMG. (if there were other words, i'd use them)

So there I was, completely engrossed in making sure the labels I made for my subjects were cut straight. Then my phone rang. The number wasn't registered in my phone book but it looked somehow familiar, so I picked up.

And got mind-blowing news. Not bad news, you know, no dead relatives or anything.

YESSS INCOHERENCE:
1. Oh my goddesses. Am gonna miss you, who have kept me sane for the last 6 years.
2. JANINE! CERES! Pano na ang Plant Design? Hindi na kumpleto ang JFPennywise, ano na.
3. Cripes. Am sorely going to miss KEM.
4. But whee! JAPAN! JAPAN!

not a fairytale ending

The Evil E's:

1. Enlistment - This was the worst I've ever experienced so far. It had to do with all of these:
a) my lack of a major, without which I will be delayed from graduating by a year;
b) my poor choice of a day to undertake Volcorps duties;
c) my (former) burning desire to get 20 units for this semester, 3 units of which are from the infamously hard-to-enlist-in PI100, and
d) see below.

2. Eng'g - (A rhetorical question) IS IT MY FAULT THAT I'M NOT A PART OF THE ^*(%$ TRI-COLL?! MJ and I were in the PI100 enlistment room around 10am, in time for the mini-sessions allotted for us. Hah. It was like hungry hyenas feeding on the carcass of a fat water buffalo, with 10 or more people fighting over a slot. There was even a mini-drama in there because someone apparently tried to cut in the line or something, and this alpha female got all mad and bitchy. Since I hadn't yet drawn a number for the ES battle royale sessions, I had to get to Eng'g before 1130. Other than cloning myself on the spot, I could see no way of getting both ES and PI. So I went to Eng'g. No, not the end of story.

AND as if getting a GE wasn't hard enough, I had to get...

3. ES - This, as usual, was a total blood and sweatfest. Luckily, I got both the ES subjects I was gunning for.:DDD Which, I think, was only right. After all, I had to cancel ES11 to get my major. When the enlister told me that, I swear I was going to cry. (ES11 is so fucking hard to get in CRS. The slots are 20/25, with 125 or so people fighting over them.) I couldn't even say yes, I just nodded and tried to swallow the lump in my throat.

In the end, I made it through alive, with 9 units enlisted manually. Huzzah. Am a goddess.

But still, later in the day...AAAUGGGGH.
