GAAAAH

The Spring Break To Be is encountering some pitfalls.

From the original plan of 3 people (Shah, Oil, me) it became 4 (+ Kuya Mat) then 6 (+ Mi Hee, + In Ae) and has now mushroomed to 8 (+ yet-unknown friend of Kuya Mat, + Jom). It is a logistical nightmare. We're like a mini-tour group now, and guess who's going to be the psychotically perky flag-waving tour guide?

Also since we're, well, so many, we probably can't stay with Shah's friend, conveniently near Shinjuku. Shah's already told his friend that he'll be travelling with 2 other people, but with the number now...

I wouldn't mind travelling with these many people OK, the truth is, I would prefer that we be 4 people, max. It would just make life easier, with all the train transfers, for example. AND we're going to Disneyland, with like 1579738 people in it. But I don't have the heart to say, "Uh, no, you can't join us, sorreeee!" because it's not like I have any right (I just planned out the train routes in a color-coded, OC manner :P) and these people are my friends. I really would like to enjoy spring break with them.

But the control freak in me is saying that this trip is soooo doomed with all these people.

Oh well. We'll have to see.

I am interested in - do tell me about

Hee. Heeheehee.

Have just discovered that a nearby restaurant will be having a Cake Buffet next month! Oh joyous day. Just for an hour and a half, but still. I will cram as many cakes as my porkiness-fighting self allows. [Although that will of course hinder said porkiness-fighting ability. But hey, just Y1200. That's a good deal, yo.]

The Spring Break To Be (still not really, you know, materializing):

1. Costly, of course.
2. Will get to go to Tokyo Disneyland and Osaka Universal Studios (at least that's the plan)
3. Will go with ryuugakusei friends! Whee.
4. Will get to meet up with some NJ tomodachi in the Kansai area. (?)
5. Will not have any nights spent in the post office, train station, or similar.

But before that...
1. Nihongo final exam
2. Scientific Communications final exam
3. Social Statistics final exam
4. Nihongo presentation
5. Mech. Engg. Lect. presentation
6. Sociology of Japanese Families report
7. Essay my sensei asked me to write for the International Student Center newsletter
8. Wakkamon Asia (yosakoi contest)

[Hmm. They all look doable, you know? Not like, say, a Chem 153 exam + ES 1 exam + ES 26 MP + extracurriculars, that sort of thing.]

EDIT: I just browsed through the archives, and I realized there wasn't any entry about the fab Kyoto and Nara trip!!! So. I promise to have it by the end of, um, February. With pictures to show the beauty of Old Japan.;D But for now, I have to meet Ayumi and ask for help with my Nihongo essay...

Really enjoyed myself despite all the pain of traveling by local train, unwashed nights in post offices/spent wandering city streets etc. I love it here, even with the expensive everything.:) Am looking forward to traveling again (Hokkaido! Okinawa! Osaka! and such), to all the things I can get to do here, to the remaining days left, but am also looking forward to going back home.

Basta, for 2006, no regrets. Wish me luck.:D
