OMGOMG [senseless post]

Nag-top si Fra sa ChE board exam! Galing. Grabe. Ang saya! As in ngiting-ngiti ako for no apparent reason kahit hindi ko achievement. Guess the o-mamori worked.

Pressure naman. Hehe.

nothing to see here, move on.

School's officially started! Whee. Even though it's raining and the sakura blossoms are getting fewer [more leaves]. Also got call from Dad last weekend, detailing how neighbors are copying his masterpiece [more on this...eventually :P], my sister's new highlights [It's official. I am uncool, having blah hair in the land where 8 out of 10 people have colored hair.], "living within my means", and his trek to the far-off Montoya residence [he had a lot to say about this, none of them good, but anyway], among others. I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation, made extra-special by the fact that it's kind of rare now since I'm so far away.

So, sked. Tried to take as many decent classes as possible. Cannot stand to be bored out of my mind anymore. Although I could just read shoujo manga study kanji in my free time.

Monday
1030 - 12: Tea Ceremony - Interesting so far. Am not a big fan of maccha [green tea], but getting used to it. [It would taste better with milk and sugar. Yes I am a barbaric gaijin.] Sensei is v. nice. But feet ache from sitting in the seiza position for like, ever.
1610 - 1740: Culture, Society and Economy in Japan - Since this is one of those "plural instructors in omnibus form" classes [AKA no permanent prof], I'm reserving judgement. First session was booooring though.
1740 - 2000: YOSAKOI YOSAKOI! Yay. People brought back omiyage from their spring break trips so ate lots of goodies from Hokkaido and Korea after practice.

Tuesday
850 - 1020: Japanese - Not bad, so far. Saw Sensei smoking a cig outside after class --- stress from all our questions, perhaps?:P
1430 - 1600: International Economics - First class in the Econ campus. Cute boys everywhere, I swear. Dun yata nagsi-ipon yung mga gwapo dito. Hehe. Come to think of it, cute girls everywhere as well. Professor just droned on and on and on...Have this class with Kyao-san, a yosakoi senpai.

Wednesday
850 - 1020/1030 - 12: Japanese
1250 - 1420: Materials Science Lab - Not technically a class, but have free time so I wander over to the lab and get to do experiments along with the other students. Making sense of the handouts is a pain --- it took me 2 hours to translate a page, and even Matt [who's a JLPT Level 2] couldn't get some of the technical terms --- but it's stuff done in high school chem and Chem 28.1, so I kind of know what to do. Kind of.
1430 - 1600: Japanese Animation - Has not disappointed me so far.:D Next meeting we'll be viewing Tetsuwan Atom [Astro Boy].

Thursday
850 - 1020: French I - Have this class with the ickle freshies. Haha, I'm just a year older though. This is French taught in Japanese, but the teacher is French, so if I have any questions I can ask her in English. Took matters into my own hands and got this class through the usual process, like a regular undergrad. Don't think the Ryuugakuseika was too happy about that though. I did talk to our coordinator before I did anything. Anyway, have made a friend[?], my seatmate. Or maybe I just scared him, I don't know.0_o
1250 - 1420: Materials Science Lab
1430 - 1600: Student Presentations on Their Home Cultures - Ugh. Basically a sort of interaction/kaiwa/presentation class. Not what I expected...and I have to shell out Y3800[!!!] for 5 graded readers. Around young-adult level books.T_T I know it's wrong to have a complex about English ability but honestly this class is just not university-level. At least it seems fun.
1610 - 1740: Introduction to Geology - Sensei likes puns. Haha. He doesn't seem too keen on teaching but he's funny. And Geology itself is OK.
1740 - 2000: Yosakoi practice

Friday
850 - 1020/1030 - 12: Japanese
1430 - 1600: International Economics

Also have upcoming Eikaiwa baito. Hurrah. Still thinking over the whole getting-a-laptop business, because of a) Microsoft XP and b) Microsoft XP in Japanese. Although I really do want to get one. Hmm.

Had a disturbing dream last night involving the APO Hiking Society in a musical [wherein I was not cast], ferries to and from Kagoshima and Zamboanga [!], tearful goodbyes, *** with a new hairstyle, Ceres laughing with me about goo-goo eyes, and Jerome hooking up with a member of the other org. Prophetic, perhaps? Hehehe.

POSTCRIPT: In case you're wondering what happened to the pictures, I am currently in the process of indexing and re-uploading. Right now I'm using Snapfish and Photobucket, but am moving pictures to Flickr, for various reasons.:) Sorry about that.

EDIT: WHOAAAA Photobucket now offers 1 GB of free storage. Ano na?! Is this a sign not to re-organize and move my pics to Flickr? 0_o

layzeee

Sorry. Haven't gotten around to uploading pictures of recent trips and blogging.:E Dunno why, though. It's probably because of shoujo manga. Yesss. I'm still at it. Can't stop...have a couple of new loves now, such as Shinshi Doumei Cross, Parfait Tic, Samurai Baby, 13Nichi no Kinyoubi...*_*

So lethargic, and classes are coming up soon.

In other news, I got my grades. The results were better than any semester I had in UP, but then again I didn't really suffer any agonizing pain the past 6 months trying to attain these grades. So..yeah. And they can't really be credited, either, so...yeah.:P

*pensive mode* Can't believe it's already been 6 months! Hwaw.
