The (non-fulfillment of) the best-laid plans

5 Stages of Grief [applied to non-existence, yet, of August scholarship money]

1. Denial - Checks balance again. And again. Thinks it will probably arrive later in the day.
2. Anger - "Where's the money? It was supposed to come today, you useless bureaucratic fools!"
3. Bargaining - "Please please I need to buy the Seishun 18 tickets and luggage and everything else, pleeeease..."
4. Depression - "No Mister Donut today, either..." *bawls*
5. Acceptance - "Might as well get back to my train schedules."

The non-arrival of August allowance which was due yesterday [incidentally quite strange in this country of strictly-followed timetables], has thwarted my plans for an organized preparation for my summer break. I have a little cash left [the Yosakoi Matsuri expedition ate up more than I expected], but not enough to buy the train tickets I need for my summer trip, as well as go to Mister Donut to use my discount coupons.(;_;)

Homestay preparation = 0, except for the souvenirs and stuff that Boss Raul sent me. Thanks, Boss.<3

Also have this huge yellow Post-It still filled with stuff to do. Gaaaah.

Yay

Despite having missed the NISP Closing Ceremony [AKA. graduation for us "special audit students"] for the 53rd Yosakoi Matsuri [last year's festival in English], I am officially done with this program.

I got a B, though. Tragic. And unexpected, since it was for my Japanese Animation class.T_T But well.

Great Mysteries of Pat's Academic Life:
1. 2.0 in ChE 32 [Industrial Stoichiometry]- Grade by dartboard?
2. 3.0 in Chem 153 [Physical Chemistry] - Awa grade? Not that I'm, you know, complaining.
3. AA in French I [Elementary French] - I still cannot speak French apart from "Je m'appelle..." and the like, so don't ask me to utter random sentences in French when I get back, hey.

I was going to write something long and possibly meaningful that was related to the Yosakoi Matsuri, but hmm. Maybe later. Have to look up train schedules for summer trip.

Random Things To Do When I Get Back: [Is posting this a little too early?]
1. JOLLIBEEEEEEE!!!! Peach mango pie, how I've missed you so.<3
2. The OC Season 2 Marathon even though I totally know that Marissa dies in the end
3. Hollywood and Pinoy flicks released from Oct. 2005 to Sept. 2006, because the only movie I have watched here is Death Note [which also has a sequel to be shown in November --- boo! I won't be here then!:E]
4. Mall of Asia, although I am prepared to be disappointed.

Will post more when I remember. Don't want to think too much about it yet, because it's kind of lonely, you know? Contrary to what I foolishly thought when I came here, one year is long enough to establish a life and have roots in any place.

Uh oh.

For many different reasons, I may be in trouble. But let's not get to that.

It's summer vacation, so everyone's all set with their plans for the break.:D The exchange students in my program are also preparing to leave. [But not me and Oil. We're staying here as late as legally possible. *laughs weakly*]

It was so different from when we first arrived here. Since we got here in autumn, there weren't any festivals or too much fun stuff to do. It's like things have already started, and we couldn't participate in anything. Haha.

Nothing much, really.
